www.youfail.org

Watch it, listen to it, love it.

Truly mesmerising..I watched it for a full hour yesterday, then returned for a short stay ever few hours after that.  So simple, yet so complex .  Those little dancing letters that get more and more creative as it goes on.
And the music...oh the music!

Ironically, this site makes me feel happier, despite its intended use as an insult and confidence-destroyer.

Even more ironically, if I spend much longer on this site, I will fail.  But I don't care.  I love it.

Are your speakers on? There is definately music. Unless this essay on Monasticism is sending me more insane than I previously thought :S

Seriously though....essays on the beginning of Monasticism, which have reading lists with entire books full of Monks' rules, do not make for a happy and mentally stimulated Verity.

I can imagine. I am writing an essay on whether Pinter writes realism or not. He doesn't, if you're wondering. And my speakers are on- I am listening to them. And yes I turned off the other music to listen.

That's odd then - I wonder why it isn't working. The music really is what gives it its magic touch. Maybe hijack a friend's computer and see if it works on that?

Yuk and Boo about the Pinter essay. Monasticism fails to get any more interesting or make any more sense, and I've just doomed myself by agreeing to go to a bible study group tonight, followed by going out for a bit of a boogie, which gives me only 1.5hrs more to take notes from these abysmal books before my self-set timetable bursts into flames from Hell. (This essay is due in on Sunday, as is a French translation, and I don't want to still be doing them on Sunday morning, cos I want to go to a church other than Keble Chapel for the first time in ages, so I've told myself that I'll do all the reading for the essay by the end of today, write the essay tomorrow, then spend Saturday on the translation. This is not going to happen. I loathe myself.)

Yeah it is! Go verity! You don't fail! Ignore that silly site! Go go go!

My essay is in on monday, I'm hoping to do the bulk of it today and tomorrow. SO far I've read one article and written about 100 words. Yeah, so,

I've read a bit more than that, but haven't really gained anything of worth from said reading. Especially now that I've reread the email from my tutor, which means that a whole load of the boring, confusing stuff I was blissfully discarding while making notes, may actually be relevant afterall. Boohiss.

I would, but I don't think I could balance my extra-curricular tap dancing and chapel warbling with swashbuckling and pillaging. But at least no 5th Century monks would be involved.

You evidently know nothing about pirates.

I was very glad when I discovered it didn't go on indefinitely, because then I probably would have had to watch it forever. As it was, I watched it twice through and returned to my favourite method of procrastination, that of staring blankly out my window.

Scarily enough, I know *exactly* which bit you mean! This worries me, as I obviously now know the song by heart. I actually tried to find it and buy it on I-tunes, but they don't seem to have it :(

I met Freddie Verity today!!! Well, by met I mean sat next to him in a lecture and saw his name on his folder. He's...kind of scary. He's about twice the size of me :S

So not really marriage material then? Boo. That's almost as disappointing as Monday night, when I finally got to meet and talk to Beautiful Dan from my French lectures, who is as lovely and charming as he is beautiful and who asked for my phone number, but who, I later discovered, dances like a gimp, which rather shattered the illusion :(

Haha. Reminds me of "I like Rory and everything, but he keeps wanting to dance. And he dances BADLY!!!"

Ah, the happy days of Rory. And the happier days of trying to think of ways to break up with Rory without mentioning that his dancing embarrassed me. Fun times.

P.S. He'd be marriage material if you want your children to look like the Hulk (but not green) and if you wanted them to be able to sit down in a seat and send someone (in his case me) flying upwards in the air as though from a catapult.

Thank goodness for Facebook searches, that's all I can say! :p

(I'm joking, btw...)

......But not that much...I did a facebook search for "Verity" at Oxford, and only about 6 results came up, all of which are girls with Verity as their first name, and 3 of whom I already know. Boo >:(
